Darla Anderson began working at First Light Health System in 1994 as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Finding the passion for medicine and caring for others, she became a Registered Nurse in 2003. Darla holds undergraduate degrees in nursing from North Hennepin Community College and Bemidji State University along with a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Dakota. She is also accredited through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Her career experience includes emergency medical care, hemodialysis, medical/surgical, critical care, and emergency nursing in conjunction with curriculum development, nurse mentoring, and as a nurse educator.
In her free time Darla enjoys spending time with her family, friends, exercising, and spending time at her family’s cabin.
