Eric Fenstad, MD, MSc, is a general cardiologist at Minneapolis Heart Institute locations in Baxter, Crosby and Aitkin. His professional interests include pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, pericardial diseases and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He authored the largest study of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension, which looked at pericardial effusions and detailed the safety of echo-guided pericardiocentesis.
Dr. Fenstad received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences-Grand Forks and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Mayo Clinic. In his spare time he enjoys playing sports with his four children, running with his wife and fishing for salmon, steelhead, walleye and panfish.
