Dr. Jenny A. Houglum, PharmD, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy in 2001. Realizing at the early age of 15 she would like to have a direct effect on the lives of people in her community she started her pharmacy career at Hall Drug. Her small town pharmacy experience motivated her to pursue additional patient care opportunities with independent pharmacies Iverson Corner Drug in Bemidji and Goodrich Pharmacy in Anoka. Then, inspired to give back to the community she was raised in Jenny returned home and has been a clinical pharmacist caring for patients at FirstLight Health System for more than 10 years. Her community dedication also extends outside of FirstLight Health System. She was the President of Mora Dollars for Scholars from 2008 to 2014, and is now the current Awards Committee Chair. Her involvement also includes Sunday School Project Manager, Elementary Volleyball Coach, PTO and Mustang Booster Club volunteer.
Jenny is a member of many professional organizations including Minnesota Pharmacists Association, Minnesota Society of Health System Pharmacists and the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.
For fun Jenny enjoys gardening, running, playing volleyball and most of all spending time with her three children.
